Her time with the Navy led her to travel to Hawaii, Thailand, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, and Africa. She’s lived in Philadelphia, San Diego, San Antonio, and Japan.

Dr. Hughes was a Naval Officer specializing in dentistry and was deployed during Operations Enduring/Iraqi Freedom with the US Navy.

Her family has two dogs, 12 chickens, two fish, a hedgehog and a guinea pig.


Her desire to pursue a career in orthodontics began in middle school.

Dr. Hughes is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics (an honor bestowed to only 25% of orthodontists).
